and I love designing and creating tattoos for my customers. I have been a tattoo artist for about 3 years now, but did alot of training before that. Giving my customers good customer service is very important for me as when you get a tattoo you cannot return it the next week or change your mind when you get home afterwards!! A tattoo is for life so you need to find a tattoo design that you will be happy with for the rest of your life.
The same designs everywhere .
When I first started out I was handed a tattoo designs book by a friend who was also in the business but after a year I had exhausted the range and was finding it hard to find new inspiration to help my customers find the right design for them. If you are looking for a tatoo for yourself then you will realise that the design is very important, you want something that you will be happy with for the rest of your life so you could search the net for days without finding any free desings that you like.
Everyone is unique and your tattoo should be aswell. You need to find the basic design you want the add to it or ask your tattoo artist to add to it to make it yours! You need a good quality starting point and this can be either black and white or color!

Tried Buying the Books.
I checked out the books available to buy at places like Amazon but found that most did not have designs you could photocopy and use so they were only of limited use. Plus the books themselves did not have the varity that I was looking for. I did not want to be buying hundreds of books so that I could have a complete catalogue of designs, plus the idea of searching book after book after book to find anything suitable seemed like a waste of time!

 Searching the internet takes ages!
I am a great lover of the interent and believe if you search hard enough you can find all the information you need for free! The problem is the time it takes to find what your looking for.
Finding new ideas on the internet is great and free but I found I was spending hours looking through sites to find just one design and even then it would be a photo of someones tattoo and not something I could print off and use to produce a tattoo.
Searching the internet for tattoo designs it a frustrating business and not something I want to do on a regular basis, not even for just one tattoo design

Eventually, I
was introduced to Chopper Tattoos.
A friend of mine pointed me towards Chopper Tattoos, the website is a tattoo database which contains thousands of designs, including many award winning tattoo designs. The resource is amazing and easy to use, but there is a fee to register with site which is a bit of a down side, but when you think of the importance of findin the right design for you it does not seem that much. The range of tattoo designs is amazing and all ready to print and use or take to your tattoo artist. The site is well organized so you can just choose the category you want and start browsing your chosen theme.
 You are sure to find a design you will be happy with for the rest of your life, which is the most important thing when shopping for a tattoo design. I have been lucky that I have been happy with all the tattoo designs I have had done and had no complaints from customers, but I sometimes wonder if my customers will still be happy in ten years time, I hope so!
